How to use Windows 95 in Virtual PC. VHD included! Video Clips. Duration : 2.25 Mins.
In this video I'll explain how to configure Virtual PC to use a per-configured, Windows 95 Virtual hard disk that I made. To do this, follow he video. 1. Open Virtual PC 2. Press 'Create a new hard disk'. 3. Press 'Next'. 4. Press 'Create a Virtual Machine'. 5. Press 'Next'. 6. Name it 'Windows 95' 7. Press 'Next'. 8. Press 'Next'. 9. Press 'Next'. 10. Press 'Next'. 11. Browse for the location that you saved my Virtual Hard disk in. 12. Press 'Next'. 13. Press 'Finish'. Information about Virtual PC: 1. If you close it by the 'X' sometimes Windows 95/98 will ask you what you want to do since the Virtual Machine wasn't shut down correctly. 2. The Windows 95/98 will sometimes ask if you want to run scan disk. This is normal. Just run it. 3. Don't move the Virtual hard disk, as Virtual PC won't be able to find the location of it and it'll close. Virtual hard disk download: rapidshare.com

This tutorial shows how to INSTALL Backtrack 4 to a VMDK (Virtual Machine Disk) in VMWare Player or VMWare Workstation along with VMWare Tools.. These steps can be used to install any Linux OS or even Windows OS. Keep in mind, this isn't the same as referencing an ISO directly but rathering installing the OS as you would on your hard-drive while still remaining Virtual. I also go over how to change your resolution in Backtrack, login as a root user, and install VMWare Tools. Microsoft Virtual PC is a virtualization suite for Microsoft Windows operating systems, and an emulation suite for Mac OS X on PowerPC-based systems. The software was originally written by Connectix, and was subsequently acquired by Microsoft. In July 2006 Microsoft released the Windows-hosted version as a free product. In August 2006 Microsoft announced the Macintosh-hosted version would not be ported to Intel-based Macintoshes, effectively discontinuing the product as PowerPC-based Macintoshes are no longer manufactured. Virtual PC virtualizes a standard PC and its associated hardware. Supported Windows operating systems can run inside Virtual PC, however other operating systems like Linux may run, but are not officially supported (for example, Ubuntu, the most popular Linux distribution, can only get past the boot screen of the Live CD when using Safe Graphics Mode). Go to Hardware tab -- click Memory -- and set the MB to a higher #. Ex:(1500-2500) Also if your screen keeps freezing on mac starting screen add more memory to the partition. Ex: (Instead of 8g add 16g) Now your done.
